This page sets out what you agree to when you connect a broker or trading platform to STACKED. You see the same text in the app, at the moment you connect. Consent version 2026-11-01.
What connecting does
- Read-only — STACKED reads your account list and status, fills and orders, positions, cash balances, and payouts or cash movements, from the accounts you authorize. It uses them to fill in your journal, your prop accounts, and their rule distances.
- Never trades — STACKED never places, changes, or cancels an order, never moves money, and never acts on your account.
- Your notes stay yours — a sync can correct a trade’s broker details (prices, sizes, times, fees, P/L) but never your tags, notes, ratings, screenshots, or rule breaks. A trade you delete stays deleted.
How you sign in
- Sign in with the platform (OAuth) — you approve read access on the platform’s own page; STACKED never sees your password.
- An API key — you create a key on the platform (read permissions only, where the platform lets you choose) and paste it into STACKED.
- A login — some platforms only allow access with your account login. Where a read-only login exists (for example a MetaTrader investor password), we ask for that one. If a platform’s login could also trade, we say so before you connect — and STACKED still only reads.
Signing in with Google or Apple. Some platforms let you sign in to their own page with Google or Apple. That sign-in happens between you, the platform and Google or Apple — STACKED never receives your Google or Apple credentials or profile, only the platform’s read-only access. Where a platform’s connection needs your trading login (for example TradeLocker, whose login comes from your broker or prop firm), a Google or Apple sign-in to that platform can’t be used — we ask for the login your firm issued instead.
How your credentials are kept
Tokens, keys, and logins are encrypted at rest, used only to read your data, never shown back in full, and never shared. Disconnecting deletes them immediately and stops syncing.
Your choices
- Pause a connection at any time; when you resume, you choose to catch up the paused period or start from now.
- Disconnect at any time; you choose whether the trades it brought in stay in your journal.
- Your consent is recorded with this version and the date. If this text changes in a way that matters, we ask again.
Your responsibility
Make sure connecting a third-party journal is allowed by your broker and any prop firm you trade with. STACKED is independent and not affiliated with any broker, platform, or prop firm.
